Barton Holan Bryant is a professional golfer. He was born on November 18, 1962 in Gatesville, Texas.
Bryant's golf career was beset by injury. He never managed a win on the PGA Tour until the Valero Texas Open in 2004. At the age of 41, he became the oldest 1st time winner on the PGA Tour, dating back nine years.
The 2005 season was Bryant's best run, as he won The Tour Championship and The Memorial Tournament, to earn $3,249,136 and finish at 9th place on the money list. These earnings were way more than what he had totaled in his first 18 seasons on both the PGA and the Nationwide Tours, from 1986 to 2003.
This remarkable accomplishment catapulted him into the top 50 Official World Golf Rankings during that time.
Bryant's elder brother Brad has won on the both the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour.
