Rebecca Lynn Hammon , or simply Becky Hammon, is a female professional basketball player currently signed with the San Antonio Silver Stars of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was born on March 11, 1977 in Rapid City, South Dakota, and also holds a Russian citizenship.

Hammon joined the New York Liberty of the WNBA on May 12, 1999 as an undrafted free agent. She was immediately productive and endeared herself to the Liberty fans. During the WNBA off-season, Hammon joined the Tennessee Fury of the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL) where she was the league leader in points per game with 20.6.

On April 4, 2007, Becky Hammon was sent, along with the rights to the 2008 WNBA 2nd round draft pick, to San Antonio for Jessica Davenport. In San Antonio, Hammon earned the nickname, "Big Shot Becky" for her penchant for sinking shots during clutch time. The nickname was derived from "Big Shot Rob", popularly used for Robert Horry of the San Antonio Spurs.
