Brandon Jackson is a professional football running back currently signed with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Horn Lake, Mississippi on October 2, 1985.
Jackson was drafted into the NFL by the Green Bay Packers as the 63rd pick during the 2007 NFL Draft. He began his 2007 rookie season as a starting RB due to an injury-depleted backfield. However, as the season progressed he was moved to second string RB, after Ryan Grant.
On December 30, 2007, in relief of Grant, he had his first memorable moment as a Packer. He rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries while also catching two passses for 22 yards. This was his first 100-yard rushing performance, and it came in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions. The Packers won 34-13. On January 2, 2008 that same week, Brandon was named NFL Rookie of the Week.
