Jon K. Kitna is a professional football quarterback currently signed with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was with the Detroit Lions from 2006 until February 2009, when he was traded to Dallas for Anthony Henry.
Kitna played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2001 until 2005. During his time in Cincinnati, he developed a close friendship with quarterback Carson Palmer, particularly because they both share a passion for golf.
Kitna went undrafted in the 1997 NFL Draft. He later joined the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europa and led the team to the World Bowl V victory over the Rhein Fire. He was subsequently named the 1997 NFL Europe World Bowl MVP. Later in 1997, he was signed by the Seattle Seahwaks.
