Kerry Michael Collins is a professional football quarterback who plays for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on December 30, 1972 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Collins was selected by the newly inaugurated Carolina Panthers as the 5th overall pick during the 1995 NFL Draft. Collins was the 1st player chosen in the annual college draft in the Panthers' history. He made a good start with the Panthers, logging 7,295 throwing yards with 39 touchdowns and 49 interceptions in three seasons.
The next season, Collins made the 1996 Pro Bowl game.
Collins became the main subject in a highly publicized episode in 1997. He supposedly made a racial slur against teammates Muhsin Muhammad and Norberto Garrido, while drunk at a bar in Spartanburg, SC.
