 Mini Biography

LaMont Damon Jordan is a professional football running back currently signed with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was originally drafted by the New York Jets and has played for the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots before he was signed by the Broncos in 2009.

Jordan attended the University of Maryland where he became one of the program's best running backs. He was selected as the 49th overall pick by the New York Jets during the 2001 NFL Draft, spending his first four seasons in the NFL as a backup to Curtis Martin.

In 2005, Jordan signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract with the Oakland Raiders. That season, he led NFL running backs with 70 receptions while also logging 1,025 rushing yards.

On November 19, 2006, Jordan tore his medial collateral ligament and was subsequently placed on the DL. He lost his starting spot to Justin Fargas and subsequently was released on July 25, 2008.

The next day, on July 26, Jordan signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots. He wasn't renewed for the 2009 season.

On March 4, 2009, Jordan was signed by the Denver Broncos.
