Laura Harper is a female professional basketball player currently signed with the Sacramento Monarchs of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was born on April 11, 1986.
Harper is in her rookie season at Sacramento. During the 2008 season she started one of the 34 games she played, averaging 5.5 points per game on the 16.5 minutes of playing time. She plays the Center/Forward position.
While she had a spectacular season at Maryland, she was a Naismith candidate several times and an NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2006, she has yet to develop into a formidable player in the professional basketball league.
