Jackson was drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the 10th pick during the 2004 NBA Draft. His contributions to Cleveland in 2004 and 2005 were insignificant, as he averaged only 2.7 points per game and appeared in 46 of the 164 possible games of the two seasons. He was traded to the Boston Celtics, along with an undisclosed sum, on October 2006 and was waived by Boston on October 27. He went to the D-League afterwards and played for the Idaho Stampede.
On January 2007, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. He was released three games later.
On March 25, 2007, the Toronto Raptors signed Jackson to a 10-day contract, which led to another ten-day contract, then finally to a two-year contract. However, he was released on October 29, 2007.
On December 12, 2007, the Miami Heat signed Jackson. Again he was released on February 6, 2008.
On August 2008, he signed with the Portland Trail Blazers but was waived shortly.
On December 4, 2007, he signed back to the Idaho Stampede of the NBDL.
