Michael A. Bennett is a professional football running back for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 13, 1978.
Bennet played college football with the Wisconsin Badgers until he declared himself eligible for the 2001 NFL Draft. He was drafted in the 1st round as the 27th overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings. To date, Bennet has played for the Vikings, the New Orleans Saints, and the Kansas City Chiefs before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007.
Bennet is recognized as one of the fastest running backs in the NFL.
