Muhsin Muhammad II (pronounced Moo-sin) is a professional football player signed with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was originally christened Melvin Campbell on May 5, 1973 in Lansing, Michigan. He got his public name when his father converted to Islam when he was 4 years old. However, Muhammad maintains that he is a Christian.
Muhammad plays the wide receiver position. He entered the 1996 NFL Draft and was selected by the Panthers in the 2nd round, as the 43rd overall pick.
Muhammad has the nickname "Moose". His fans will yell "Moose!" every time he completes a catch, makes a first down or catches a touchdown pass. Additionally, his fans are known to wear antlers in support of him.
