Orlando Luis Cabrera, nicknamed "The OC", is a professional baseball player who is currently a free agent. He was born on November 2, 1974 in Cartagena, Colombia.
Cabrera was signed as an amateur free agent into the Major League by the Montreal Expos on June 1, 1993. He made his professional debut on September 3, 1997 for the Expos.
On July 31, 2004, Cabrera was traded as part of a 4-team trade to the Boston Red Sox. That same saeson, his defensive contribution helped the Boston Red Sox win the 2004 World Series. On November 1, 2004, Cabrera was granted free agency, and he signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim prior the 2005 MLB Season.
In 2009, Cabrera was signed by the Oakland Athletics. He was traded on July 31 to the Minnesota Twins.
