Jamael Orondé Barber, or Rondé Barber, is a professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). He plays cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was born on April 7, 1975 in Roanoke, Virginia.
Ronde Barber is among the best cornerbacks playing in the NFL today. On December 11, 2005, he became the 9th member of the 20/20 Club, after intercepting 20 passes and logging 20 sacks. He was the only cornerback to be included in the 20/20 Club in NFL history.
While twin brother Tiki Barber played efficient offense, Ronde Barber excelled as a great defender, specializing in zone coverage. He leads the Bucs in all-time interceptions and was with the Bucs when they won Super Bowl XXXVII by beating the Oakland Raiders.
