Swintayla Marie Cash , famous as Swin Cash, is a professional basketball player currently signed with the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was born on September 22, 1979 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Cash is well regarded as a productive scorer and a good rebounder. Playing the forward position, she is also a capable ball handler and defender. During her NCAA career, she led the UConn Huskies to national titles in 2000 and 2002.
In the 2002 WNBA Draft, Cash was selected as the 2nd overall pick by the Detroit Shock. By the next season, she led the team to their first trip to the WNBA Championship and ultimately the 2003 championship title.
Cash and the rest of the U.S. women's basketball team won the Gold Medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
