Terrance Lee Labonte, or Terry Labonte, is a semi-retired professional race car driver. He currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and recently drove a Window World sponsored entry in the Daytona 500 for Prism Motorsports (previously MSRP Motorsports).
In 1984, Labonte clinched his first Winston Cup championship by winning the races at Riverside International Raceway and Bristol Motor Speedway. In 1996, he became the Winston Cup champion again, after breaking Richard Petty's streak for consecutive races. He became the IROC champion twice in his career, in 1989 and in 1993.
In 1989 Labonte was inducted in the National Quarter Midget Hall of Fame. In 1998, he was named one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers.
Terry is the older brother of Bobby Labonte, and the father of the former Nationwide Series driver Justin Labonte.
